Editorial Guidelines
Displayed here are the guidelines used for NecroRAW.
Principles
Rules are to be displayed verbatim. NecroRAW should not provide house rules or advice to players or Arbitrators. Only the presentation of the rules (how rules are rendered) is to be changed to take advantage of what an online and dynamic platform can offer.
If there is an express need to clarify any elements (provide additional information i.e. where rules are located),
an info box is displayed with its title starting with NecroRAW.
Errata
Errata are incorporated. Errata are directly incorporated in the rules being displayed. A tooltip is usually present to indicate the changes that have been applied compared to the book version.
Errors not present in FAQ
Errors not in FAQ are not corrected.
If an obvious error has been spotted in the text, the mention [sic] can be added instead of correcting the error itself.
The text stays unchanged.
Difference in rulesets between published books and fighter cards present in GW's blisters
Preferred displayed verbatim rules are the ones being lastly published by GW. ie. Blister of a fighter is released with a Fighter card saying WS 4, a book later published changes this to WS 3. What will be displayed on the website is WS 3, with as a source, the book publication.
Regarding WYSIWYG and changes from that, GW has shown so much inconsistency that it's hard to judge if they made a mistake using a different name for a given weapon or just made a correction to balance out something.
What is undisputable however, is what has been written by them. That's what RAW is. NecroRAW will stand with what has been written and let Arbitrators decide how they want to deal with it.

How to (Re)Write Cross-References
Replacing page references needs to be done by conserving as much as possible the structure of the sentence and its words. Valid examples:

- The rules for building new Structures can be found on page 68.

Organising the Rules
The Rules are organised as they appear in the Core Rulebook as much as possible.
Gangs Additions and Special Wargear
Necromunda features a wide array of models, each with its own unique characteristics. For certain types of fighters/models, it's clear where their rules should be displayed. Bounty hunters, for example, are typically not associated with specific gangs and are rare additions to any gang. Therefore, consolidating all bounty hunter rules, including exclusive ones, on a dedicated Bounty Hunters page makes sense. However, other types of models, such as crews or exotic beasts, pose a different challenge as they may be more commonly encountered within a gang and are not named models. Ultimately, an editorial decision is needed to determine where all these rules should be located. The following table provides a breakdown:
| Type | Universal | Exclusive | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Exotic Beasts | Gang Additions | Gang list | Universal ones listed in Trading Post |
| Hangers-on | Gang Additions | Gang Additions | - |
| Brutes | Gang Additions | Gang list | - |
| Bounty Hunters | Gang Additions | Gang Additions | - |
| House Agents | Gang Additions | Gang Additions | - |
| Hive Scum | Gang Additions | Gang Additions | - |
| Crews | Gang Additions | Gang list | - |
| Vehicles | Gang Additions | Gang list | - |
| Mounts | Trading Post | Gang list | - |
Crews
Exclusive Crews are displayed with other fighters of a given gang. This has not been the case with how the rules have been published so far. ie. Crews being displayed in campaign books, rulebooks or Apocrypha rather than being present in a "House of ..." type of book.
The reasoning for including Crews with other fighters of a gang is that they have the Gang Fighter (X) special rule. They are full members of the gang.
Unique vehicles are listed in the Gang list section of each House. Vehicles are some sort of wargear for crew members. Unique vehicles have their place in the gang composition of each gang.
Special cargo are listed in the Gang list section of each House. What about special cargos for the Cargo-8? Since they depend on the Cargo-8, it makes sense to include them on the Cargo-8 generic page. However, listing them in each gang's composition makes it much more evident when building your own gang.
Exotic Beasts
Exclusive Exotic Beasts are displayed with other fighters of a given gang. Even if Exotic Beasts are wargear, it's evident that they are not your typical equipment. They possess their own fighter cards and set of rules.
Universal Exotic Beasts are displayed in the Gang Additions section Exotic beasts are listed in the Trading Post, but their profiles are located in the Gang Additions section. They possess their own fighter cards and set of rules. Having the common ones displayed in the Gang Addition section seems relevant.

- Capitalise the principal words
- Capitalise to in infinitives
- Capitalise all words of four letters or more
