80. Showdown

RAW ✔️ Source: Necromunda: Hive War, Rulebook

Invading one another's territory and raiding one another's stores has led to a high degree of hostility. A showdown is on the cards!

Battlefield

Set up the battlefield as shown below.

Crews

Both players use the Custom Selection (5) method to choose their starting crew.

Deployment

This scenario uses the Stand-off deployment rules (see page 78). The two deployment areas are shaded in red and green, respectively.

Objectives – Humiliate The Enemy

Sometimes, eliminating an enemy is not enough – they must be humiliated! Each gang is attempting to drive their enemy from the battlefield and seize control of their territory. Keep Track of each enemy fighter that goes Out of Action.

Ending the Battle

The battle ends at the end of the fifth round. If at any point before this either gang has no fighters left on the battlefield at the end of any round, the battle ends immediately.

Victory

If only one gang has fighters left on the battlefield at the end of the battle and the other does not, that gang is automatically victorious. Otherwise, each gang scores 1 point for each enemy fighter that went Out of Action, and 2 points for each of its fighters that is Standing and Active within one of the enemy gang's deployment zones at the end of the battle. The gang with the most points is victorious.

note

Linking Games Together

If players wish to link their games together (as described on page 87), the Leader of the victorious gang has learnt much from this short campaign of violence against their neighbouring rivals. The Leader of the victorious gang may immediately be given a new skill in addition to the skill they already have, chosen from the appropriate skill list.
