161. Explore the Depths
RAW ✔️ Halls of the Ancients, p106
The following scenarios are designed to reflect some of the tactics Ironhead Squat prospectors might employ or common situations they might find themselves in. They include fighting off others from a valuable wasteland claim they have found and delving into the depths in search of ancient technology to enrich the clan.
When an Ironhead Squat player has the option of choosing the scenario for their battle, they can, with the permission of the Arbitrator, choose one of the following scenarios. Where one player is the attacker and the other is the defender, this will be detailed in the scenario.
While the scenarios presented here have been designed specifically for Ironhead Squat prospectors, there is no reason that, with the permission of the Arbitrator, they might not be used for any gang. Both scenarios also lend themselves well to multi-player scenarios – such as the Depths Rush where multiple gangs hearing of a newly discovered collapsed dome rush in to try to claim its treasures for themselves.
"Where's your gravel? If your sire could see you now, wanting to turn back at the first sign of trouble they would disown you and send you to join the Charterless! Now patch that arm up, we press on!"
- Kirag Folstein, Drill Master, Vossinki Mining Clan

Search for Archeotech
After the battlefield is set up, before deploying starting crews, players take it turn to place 6 Auspex-ghost markers on the battlefield starting with the winner of a roll-off. Each Auspex-ghost marker must be placed at least 9" away from any other Auspex-ghost and 6" from any battlefield edge.
Any fighter within 1" of an Auspex-ghost may perform the Investigate Ghost (Basic) action:
Investigate Ghost (Basic): This fighter makes an Intelligence test; if the test is passed they find some Archeotech – increase the gang's Archeotech points by one, if the test is failed the Auspex-ghost was scrap, add D3x5 credits to the gang's Stash. Regardless of the test result, remove the Auspex-ghost marker from the battlefield.
Radiation Leak
At the start of each round, after rolling for Priority before activating any fighters, the player with Priority rolls a D6 and consults the below table. These effects last for the duration of the round:
| D6 | Result |
|---|---|
| 1-3 | No effect. |
| 4-5 | Roll a D6 for every fighter on the battlefield, on a 5+ they suffer a Flesh Wound. Fighters that are immune to the Rad-phage trait are not affected. |

Fleeing the Battlefield
If either gang voluntarily bottles out and subsequently flees the battlefield, their opponent automatically wins the scenario.
