79. Break In

RAW ✔️ Source: Necromunda: Hive War, Rulebook

Seizing their chance to secure some loot, the attacking gang heads straight for the stronghold's armoury.

Battlefield

Set up the battlefield as shown below.

LOOT = Loot Casket

Crews

Both players use the Random Selection (5) method to choose their starting crew.

Deployment

This scenario uses the attacker and defender deployment rules (see page 78). The defender deploys their crew within the green deployment zone, the attacker within the red deployment zone.

Objectives – Steal The Loot

The attacking gang is attempting to steal loot from within their enemy's stronghold. The defender is attempting to protect the loot they have previously stolen!

Each time a Loot casket is opened, make a note of its contents.

Ending the Battle

If either gang has no fighters left on the battlefield at the end of any round, the battle ends immediately.

Victory

If the attacker has opened more Loot caskets than the defender, they are victorious. Alternatively, if the defender has opened more Loot caskets than the attacker, they are victorious. Otherwise, the battle ends in a draw.

note

Linking Games Together

If players wish to link their games together (as described on page 87), gangs will sell any valuable items they have found in the Loot caskets. For each roll 2-4 'Nothing Much' that was made when a fighter opened a Loot casket during this battle, that fighter's gang will earn 50 credits (earned by selling the stolen goods). Each gang may immediately spend these credits to recruit and equip another Ganger.
