A key member of a rival gang has a price on their head, and the desperate Underdogs intend to collect!

note

The Underdog

This [scenario] makes frequent reference to an Underdog; an Underdog is defined as a gang whose Gang Rating is at least 400 credits fewer than its opponent's.

Battlefield

This scenario uses the Battlefield Set-up guidelines, as described in the Battlefield Set-up & Scenarios section of the Necromunda Rulebook.

Attacker and Defender

In this scenario, the Underdog is the attacker and the other gang is the defender.

Crews

This scenario uses the standard rules for choosing a crew, as described in the Battlefield Set-up & Scenarios section of the Necromunda Rulebook. Both players use the Custom Selection method to choose their crew.

Deployment

This scenario uses the standard rules for deployment, as described in the Battlefield Set-up & Scenarios section of the Necromunda Rulebook.

Targeted for Death

A large price has been placed on one of the key members of the defender's gang. After both sides have deployed, the attacker secretly notes down one of the defender's fighters with the Gang Hierarchy (X) rule to be the Target. If there are no defending fighters with the Gang Hierarchy (X) rule, then any defending fighter may be chosen. As soon as the Target has either been taken Out of Action or fled the battle or one gang has no fighters left on the battlefield, then the identity of the Target is revealed.

Ending the Battle

The battle ends if either the Target is taken Out of Action, or the Target has fled the battlefield, or if one gang has no fighters left on the battlefield.

Victory

The attacker wins if the Target has been taken Out of Action or the defending gang voluntarily bottled out. Otherwise, the defender wins.

Rewards

Credits

If the Target is taken Out of Action, then the attacking gang adds 6D6x10 credits to their Stash.

If the Target flees the battlefield, then the attacking gang adds 4D6x10 credits to their Stash.

If the Target is Seriously Injured at the end of the battle, then the attacking gang adds 2D6x10 credits to their Stash.

Each fighter who took part in the battle earns 1 XP.

The fighter that takes the Target Out of Action earns an additional 1 XP.

If the Target survives the battle, they earn an additional D3 XP.

Reputation

The victorious gang gains D3 Reputation. If either gang bottled out, they lose 1 Reputation.
