Waypoints
RAW ✔️ The Aranthian Succession – Ruins of Jardlan, p64
During a Fall of Helmawr Campaign, gangs fight for control of a special kind of Territory called Waypoints. These are locales between Hive Primus and the Dust Wall where Lord Helmawr, Lady Haera, might be found, either by those eager to kill her for the bounty on her or loyalists looking to aid her in reclaiming the planet.
Each Waypoint has Battle Effects that are applied to any battle fought where that Waypoint is the stake. Additionally, they grant the holder a Boon, which is collected during step 4: Collect Income of the post-battle sequence.
Each gang also controls a Clan Enclave Waypoint that can never be challenged for as the stake for a battle and they can never lose control of.
Waypoint Boons
Each Waypoint grants the gang that controls it a benefit called a Boon. This Boon might be income, an additional gang member, a piece of rare or unique equipment or a special rule.
A gang receives the benefits of a Waypoint's Boon so long as it holds that Waypoint. Once the Waypoint is lost to another gang, the Boon is lost.
Income
If a Waypoint provides income for the gang that controls it, the gang adds the amount of credits shown to their Stash when generating income after all battles, including the battle in which it was won.
Recruit
Some Waypoints grant gangs new fighters, Hired Guns or Hangers-on as recruits to the gang. These recruits incur no cost to recruit but do add to the Gang Rating and Wealth value.
Any gang fighter recruited from the gang's House List has no cost to recruit, but any equipment that is not part of the fighter's basic cost must be purchased at the normal cost, or supplied from the gang's Stash.
Any Hired Gun recruited as a Boon has no cost, and will remain with the gang for as long as they control the Waypoint that grants the Boon.
Any Hanger-on recruited as a Boon does not count towards the maximum number of Hangers-on the gang may normally have, may be recruited without meeting the normal Reputation requirement and remains with the gang for as long as they control the Waypoint that grants the boon.
Equipment
The gang adds the listed equipment type to its Stash. It is gained in the Post-battle Actions step of the post-battle sequence, immediately after the battle in which the Waypoint was won and can be distributed amongst eligible fighters during the next step of the same post-battle sequence.
The equipment can never be sold or traded and if the Waypoint is ever lost, then so is the equipment as it can no longer be maintained without the expertise present within the Waypoint.
Special
The Boon grants a unique benefit to the gang that holds the Waypoint. The benefit follows the rules listed in the relevant entry for the Waypoint. If the Waypoint is ever lost then so is the benefit.
Fall of Helmawr Campaign Waypoints
Clan Enclave
Every gang has their stronghold where they coordinate their network of Waypoints from. These serve as recruiting stations, as well as allowing gangs to collate any sightings and act upon them.
Waypoint Boon
Income: The gang earns 2D6x10 credits from this Waypoint when collecting income.
Recruit: The gang may choose to roll two D6 after every battle. On a roll of 6 on either dice, the gang may recruit a single Juve from their House List for free. If both dice come up as 6, then the gang may recruit a Ganger from their House List for free.
Skyblight
Ace of Diamonds
The great chem plains of Skyblight are formed by the run-off of the many processing facilities and factoria of the Primus cluster. The toxic fumes created by the intermingling of chems, too numerous to count, blot out the sky and are visible from hundreds of kilometres away.
Battle Effects: In an Ash Wastes battle where this Waypoint is the stake, the battlefield surface is automatically Acid Plains, there is no need to roll (see the Necromunda: Core Rulebook). In an Underhive battle where this Waypoint is the stake, the Visibility (12") rule is in effect.
Waypoint Boon
Income: The gang earns D6x10 credits from this Waypoint when collecting income. Special: The gang reduces the Rare and Illegal level of chems from the Trading Post by 2.
Refuelling Station Gold Sigma
Two of Diamonds
Located on the Great Ash Road East, Refuelling Station Gold-Sigma is the last reliable refuelling station before leaving the Palatine Plateau. This leads to almost every traveller venturing out into the wastes to the east of the Palatine Cluster stopping there, making it a hotbed for rumour, where any secret can be bought for the right price.
Battle Effects: In the post-battle sequence of a battle where this Waypoint is the stake, each gang may re-roll a single dice when determining how many credits they earn for the battle.
Waypoint Boon
Income: The gang earns 2D6x10 credits from this Waypoint when collecting income.
Gamma Light Bazaar
Three of Diamonds
Once a great hive, Echolus Gamma was destroyed when the reactor at its heart overloaded, gutting the core of the hive in an irradiated inferno. Now used as the base for numerous outlaw crews looking to prey upon the passing guild convoys, the gangs' wares are sold at the Gamma-light Bazaar.
Battle Effects: In an Ash Wastes battle where this Waypoint is the stake, the battlefield surface is automatically Sunken Ruins, there is no need to roll (see the Necromunda: Core Rulebook). In an Underhive battle where this Waypoint is the stake, no weapon with the Blast (X") trait may be used.
Waypoint Boon
Income: The gang earns 3D6x10 credits from this Waypoint when collecting income.
The Yoke of Purification
Four of Diamonds
The hive of Echolus Alpha is a bastion of the Redemption, sending out gangs to cleanse its ruined brother of the scum that call it home while picking over its corpse for anything of value that can be reclaimed. Before these gangs can return, and their loot repurposed, they must pass under the Yoke of Purification and be cleansed of the taint of Echolus Gamma's destruction.
Battle Effects: In a battle where this Waypoint is the stake, all weapons with the Blaze trait lose the Scarce trait. If they do not have the Scarce trait, they instead gain the Plentiful trait.
Waypoint Boon
Income: The gang earns 2D6x10 credits from this Waypoint when collecting income.
Radmoors Network
Five of Diamonds
An ancient road network, the Radmoors Network used to be the main route across the Great Equatorial Wastes. However, it was long ago replaced by the more stable Guild and Dust Roads. For those wishing to avoid official patrols, the Radmoors Network is still used, though if travellers wish to avoid battle, the toll must be paid.
Battle Effects: In an Ash Wastes battle where this Waypoint is the stake, the battlefield surface is automatically Ancient Roads, there is no need to roll (see the Necromunda: Core Rulebook). In an Underhive battle where this Waypoint is the stake, every gang may include a free Hive Scum hired gun.
Waypoint Boon
Income: The gang earns 2D6x10 credits from this Waypoint when collecting income.
Six Crones Distillery
Six of Diamonds
The chem distilleries of Hive Dionysus are famed throughout Necromunda for the sheer quantity that they produce. One of the largest is the Six Crones Distillery, who specialise in the effects that can be gained by combining radiation with their alchemical arts.
Battle Effects: In a battle where this Waypoint is the stake, all weapons gain the Rad-phage trait.
Waypoint Boon
Income: The gang earns 3D6x10 credits from this Waypoint when collecting income.
The Knife's Thrust
Seven of Diamonds
Going out into the Near Spoil is a dangerous affair; outlaws, nomads and other gangs who feel it is easier to steal someone else's salvage rather than find their own are all threats that are ignored at your peril! For those that can afford it, protection can be hired from the Knife's Thrust – a drinking hole huddled in the shadow of Yurv's Citadel, next to the Spoil Gate.
Battle Effects: In a battle where this Waypoint is the stake, all fighters increase their Attacks characteristic by 1.
Waypoint Boon
Recruit: The gang may recruit a Bounty Hunter for free.
Spoiltown Outskirts
Eight of Diamonds
Spoiltown has to be regularly re-carved out of the vast dumping ground that is the Near Spoil. Unwilling or unable to live within a hive, and shunned from other settlements, the people who gather in Spoiltown are desperate – only staying long enough to sell whatever scraps they have recovered from the Near Spoil before heading out again.
Battle Effects: In a battle where this Waypoint is the stake, at the start of each round after rolling for Priority, the player who does not have priority places the large (5") Blast marker anywhere on the battlefield. The Blast marker then scatters 2D6", ignoring all terrain. Any model under the Blast marker after it has scattered suffers a S3, AP -, D1 hit that pins fighters with falling debris.
Waypoint Boon
Recruit: The gang may recruit two Hive Scum for free.
Twice Bit
Nine of Diamonds
The Twice-bit is the most notorious drinking hole in Spoiltown. Its clientele spend what few credits they manage to gather from the Near Spoil in order to forget their woes for a while. With cheap and free flowing Second Best, when the inevitable fights break out the participants are often too far gone to notice they have been hit.
Battle Effects: In a battle where this Waypoint is the stake, at the start of the End phase of each round, each player rolls a D6 for each of their fighters on the battlefield. On a 5+, the fighter removes one Flesh Wound that they have suffered.

Special: The gang increases the maximum number of Brutes and Hangers-on they may hire based on their Reputation by 1.
Tubeway One
Ten of Diamonds
The settlement of Tubeway One is situated at the entrance to the first tubeway built on Necromunda. Waypoint Boon
Income: The gang earns 2D6x10 credits from this Waypoint when collecting income.

Waypoint Boon
Income: The gang earns 2D6x10 credits from this Waypoint when collecting income.
Slick Sump Foundries
King of Diamonds
Constructed in the shadow of Hive Karmak 13, the Slick Sump Foundries of House Goliath use the Slick Black Sump in order to cool the freshly forged metal ready to be shipped off. The unbearable heat and constant steam ensures that few dare try to take the foundries from House Goliath as the attrition rate on workers would be too extreme.
Battle Effects: In a battle where this Waypoint is the stake, at the end of every fighter's activation they must pass a Toughness check or suffer a Flesh Wound.
Waypoint Boon
Income: The gang earns 3D6x10 credits from this Waypoint when collecting income.
Camp Karrva
Two of Spades

The Necromagnium Underway is a marvel of Squat engineering, built thousands of years ago and maintained by the Squat clans. The entrance is wide enough for eight Cargo-8 Ridgehaulers to enter, side-by-side, with the approaches covered by multiple gun emplacements in order to prevent incursions by Ash Waste Nomads.

Deep Rift Gate
Nine of Spades
