6. Purge the Brood

In this scenario, a gang must clear an area of the Malstrain Patriarch's influence.

Battlefield

The Malstrain places both playmats with their long edges touching and then sets up five doors on the Hunting Ground.

Crews

The Secundan Incursion gang uses the standard rules for choosing a crew, as described on page 122, and the Custom Selection (5) method. The Malstrain has 12 MP to build their forces with.

Deployment

The Malstrain deploys five Brood Scum anywhere on the battlefield. The Secundan Incursion gang then choose a long battlefield edge and deploys their crew anywhere within 1" of that battlefield edge.

Mindless Hordes

When Malstrain Reinforcements arrive, they are placed by the Secundan Incursion gang on a roll of 13 instead of the usual 12.

Reinforcements

At the end of each End phase, D3+1 Reinforcements arrive for the Malstrain.

Ending the Battle

The battle ends after six rounds or if at the start of any round, the Secundan Incursion gang have no models remaining on the battlefield.

Victory

If the Spyrer has added at least six to their Kill Count during the battle and the Secundan Incursion gang successfully harvest at least three Data Crystals, they are victorious. Any other result is a victory for the Malstrain.

If the Secundan Incursion gang win then the Spyrer earns an additional D3 XP.
