1. Into the Underhells

In this scenario, a gang scours the area for ancient data crystals.

Battlefield

The Malstrain places both playmats with their long edges touching and then sets up four doors on the Hunting Ground.

Crews

The Secundan Incursion gang uses the standard rules for choosing a crew, as described on page 122, and the Hybrid Selection (2+3) method. The Malstrain has 10 MP to build their forces with.

Deployment

The Malstrain deploys six Brood Scum anywhere on the battlefield. The Secundan Incursion gang then choose a short battlefield edge and deploy their crew anywhere within 1" of that battlefield edge.

Data Crystals

This section of the Underhells is full to the brim with hidden knowledge. The first time a Data Crystal is successfully harvested from each Data Crystal Stack, the fighter performing the action gains an additional Data Crystal.

Reinforcements

At the end of each End phase, D3 Reinforcements arrive for the Malstrain.

Ending the Battle

The battle ends after eight rounds or if at the start of any round, the Secundan Incursion have no models remaining on the battlefield.

Victory

If the Secundan Incursion successfully harvest each Data Crystal Stack at least once, they are victorious. Any other result is a victory for the Malstrain.

Each fighter that successfully harvests at least one Data Crystal Stack earns an additional 1 XP.
