5. Champion of the Malstrain

In this scenario, a gang must slay a champion of the Malstrain.
Battlefield
The Malstrain places both playmats with their long edges touching and then sets up four doors on the Hunting Ground.
Crews
The Secundan Incursion gang uses the standard rules for choosing a crew, as described on page 122, and the Hybrid Selection (3+D3) method. The Malstrain has 12 MP to build their forces with.
Deployment
The Malstrain deploys the Malstrain Champion (see below) in the centre of the battlefield and then deploys four Brood Scum anywhere on the battlefield. The Secundan Incursion gang then choose a short It battlefield edge and deploys their crew anywhere within i 1" of that battlefield edge.
Malstrain Champion
The Malstrain includes one additional Malstrain Genestealer in their force, which does not cost any MP. This Malstrain Genestealer is a champion of the Malstrain - increase their Strength, Toughness and Attacks by one.
Reinforcements
At the end of each End phase, 1 Reinforcement arrives for the Malstrain.
Ending the Battle
The battle ends after eight rounds or if at the start of any round, the Secundan Incursion gang have no models remaining on the battlefield.
Victory
If the Malstrain Champion has been removed from the battlefield, the Secundan Incursion gang are victorious. Any other result is a victory for the Malstrain.
Rewards
Experience
If a fighter takes the Malstrain Champion Out of Action, they earn an additional D3 XP.
