2. Brood Ambush

In this scenario, a gang must survive a sudden ambush by the Malstrain.
Battlefield
The Malstrain places both playmats with their short edges touching and then sets up five doors on the Hunting Ground.
Crews
The Secundan Incursion gang uses the standard rules for choosing a crew, as described on page 122, and the Random Selection (D3+3) method. The Malstrain has 12 MP to build their forces with.
Deployment
The Secundan Incursion gang deploy their starting crew within 6" of the centre of the battlefield. The Malstrain then deploys five Brood Scum within 1" of the short battlefield edges.
Ambush
The Secundan Incursion gang (except for the Spyrer) may not flee the battlefield in the usual way. Instead, if a Secundan Incursion gang fighter is within 1" of one of the short battlefield edges at the start of the End phase, they successfully escape the ambush and are removed from the battlefield.
Reinforcements
At the end of each End phase, two Reinforcements arrive for the Malstrain.
Ending the Battle
The battle ends after six rounds or if at the start of any round, the Secundan Incursion gang have no models remaining on the battlefield.
Victory
If at least two Secundan Incursion fighters successfully escape the ambush, they are victorious. Any other result is a victory for the Malstrain.

Experience
If a fighter successfully escapes the ambush, they earn an additional 1 XP.
